PRONUNCIATION:
(bib-lee-OL-uh-tree)

MEANING:
noun:
1. Excessive devotion to the Bible, especially to its literal interpretation.
2. Extreme devotion to books.

ETYMOLOGY:
From Greek biblio- (book) + -latry (worship).

USAGE:
